“Our pupils benefit from Trust collaboration by accessing alternative provision.”

Alison Pope, Headteacher at St Martins 3-16 School, explains how her pupils benefit from being able to access Trust-wide alternative provision.

Pupils from St Martins school

"As part of our Trust collaboration, a small number of St Martins pupils benefit from accessing alternative provision at Thomas Adams School, Wem.

“This partnership enables our pupils to engage in a curriculum and learning environment that is specifically tailored to their individual needs, strengths and aspirations.

“By providing additional pathways for success, the provision can improve attendance, engagement, confidence and personal development.

“Pupils remain valued members of the St Martins community while accessing specialist support and opportunities that help them achieve positive outcomes, build resilience and prepare successfully for their next steps in education, training or employment.”

St Martins – Shropshire’s first ‘all-through’ school

St Martins School was established in September 2012 as Shropshire’s first ‘all-through’ school, educating children from age three to sixteen.

As a 3-16 through school at the heart of the community, St Martins deliver child-centred, individually-tailored education. The family ethos of the school surrounds all who work and study there creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

As an ‘all through’ school, St Martins utilise primary and secondary expertise across all areas of the school, tracking progress and ensuring the curriculum develops effectively from each year group and phase.

We have an engaging and challenging curriculum that draws on the uniqueness of our ‘all throughness’ enabling a seamless transition from primary to secondary.
