An outstanding performance from our U13 girls at the Indoor Cricket Tournament in Shrewsbury yesterday! Brilliant batting from Chloe Johnson and Phoebe Law, and a huge shoutout to Gracie Hakeman for an incredible hat-trick in her first three balls against Burton Borough School. 👏🔥🏏
Congratulations to Bridgnorth Endowed on a well-deserved second-place finish. The girls should be extremely proud, and we’re excited to see them build on this success and push for qualification to the next round! 💙

Due to the Amber Weather Warning for heavy snow associated with Storm Goretti, and following the cancellation of Shropshire bus services by Shropshire Council, Bridgnorth Endowed School will be closed tomorrow, Friday 9th January.
The forecast indicates dangerous travel conditions and significant disruption from Thursday night into Friday. This decision has therefore been taken to prioritise the safety of our students and staff.
Please avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated via our school website and official communication channels.
Thank you for your understanding.

A BIG THANK YOU to Helen and her team at Roden Dogs Trust for warmly welcoming Miss Holland, Esmé and her Dad WO1 - Mr Simpson.
The visit provided a valuable insight into the incredible work carried out by staff and volunteers to ensure dogs are safe, well cared for and rehomed with loving families. The group was also delighted to hand over the funds raised from the recent Christmas hamper raffle.
It was a truly inspiring visit and a pleasure to learn more about dog welfare, enrichment and stimulation, and to see first-hand the outstanding work Dogs Trust continues to do.

🎭 🇫🇷 French Theatre Comes to Life for Year 11
Year 11 students recently enjoyed an engaging French theatre performance delivered by Onatti Productions, a touring company based at Warwick University.
Actors Esther Lebeau and Félix Paré entertained students with RSVP, a lively and humorous production rooted in modern French culture. The fast-paced show included music, movement and plenty of audience participation, with several students joining the actors on stage.
Alongside the fun, students developed their language skills through new vocabulary, key phrases and exposure to authentic spoken French. A fantastic experience that brought classroom learning to life.

Exciting news 🗞️ for Year 11!
We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our brand‑new Year 11 Grab & Go Café – Vancouver Café! 🎉
This dedicated space has been created especially for our amazing Year 11 students. As the leaders of our school community, we expect a lot from them as role models, and it’s only right that they have a special area to relax, refuel, and connect with friends during social time.
Whether they’re grabbing a bite to eat, catching up with classmates, or squeezing in a bit of GCSE revision, the Vancouver Café is designed to support them every step of the way.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life.
With appreciation,
WBS SLT

📢 Year 11 Consultation Evening – Monday 19th January
Booking information for appointments is now live!
During the evening, we’re launching an exciting Revision Competition to help students prepare for their upcoming GCSE exams. Here’s how it works:
✅ Pick up an exam paper (and mark scheme if applicable) from the Revision Resources Table in reception during the PCE.
✅ Complete the paper – you can choose one of two approaches:
Timed Conditions – practise completing the paper under exam-style timing.
Open Book – use your revision notes to answer the paper and strengthen your understanding.
✅ Drop off your completed paper to Room 109 (Mr Scrivens) to enter and win a prize!
Both approaches are valuable and will support your revision journey as GCSE exams are fast approaching. Let’s make every effort count!
Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday 19th January! #success #respectexcellencefriendship #teamwbs
