Stay up to date with events and activities in some of our schools and their communities.
As we wrapped up another fantastic year at BES, our end-of-year celebration assembly was a reminder of just how incredible our students really are. 💙
There's something special about coming together as a whole school. Hearing students cheer, clap and celebrate each other's successes says everything about the kind, supportive community we've built together.
We celebrated our Year 8s who climbed Snowdon in memory of their friend Will, recognised students whose commitment and hard work have shone through all year, and presented special awards to those who have gone above and beyond.
And of course, there was the moment everyone had been waiting for... the House Cup. This year, it turned GREEN 🟢 Congratulations, Scientia!
To every student who received an award – well done. And to every single one of our students, thank you for making BES such a special place to be.
We couldn't be prouder of everything you've achieved this year. Have a fantastic summer – we can't wait to see what the new school year brings. ☀️
Here's a look at our assembly highlights 🎥

Amazing news from 2 former Priory pupils 🎉🎉 ... See MoreSee Less

As part of Activities Week, Year 9 students took part in a fun and interactive nutrition day exploring how food affects energy, concentration and wellbeing.
Students investigated sugar in everyday foods, enjoyed tasting a variety of foods in a sensory challenge.
The day was organised and delivered through a collaboration between the DT/Food Department, the school canteen team and our school catering company, helping students learn more about making healthier food choices.
Well done to all involved! 👏🥕🍓

🇰🇪 Camp Kenya News - Another unforgettable day on safari! 🦁🐘
Students enjoyed more spectacular wildlife sightings and breathtaking views before heading back to camp. On the journey home, we had the privilege of visiting a Maasai village, where the tribe welcomed us with a traditional dance and even invited students to join in (with some interesting attempts at the famous Maasai jumping! 😄).
The visit concluded with a tour of the village and a chance to learn more about Maasai culture and traditions. A fantastic way to round off our time at Camp Tsavo before continuing our expedition. 🌍✨

The English Department’s final day was a dramatic one (literally!) After breakfast, we headed to Borough Market where students got to enjoy all sorts of foodie treats.
We then enjoyed a walk to the Globe Theatre where our students had a guided tour around the Globe and a Macbeth workshop! Our students asked some fantastic questions and learnt a lot about the Globe’s history.
We couldn’t leave without checking out the gift shop and treating ourselves… Say hello to the English department’s newest member: Bill the bear!

🌍🇰🇪 Kenya Expedition Update
Our students had the wonderful opportunity to visit a local school and work alongside the children on a number of community projects. The group got stuck into making bricks, painting walls and helping to refurbish a classroom floor.
It was a rewarding experience filled with teamwork, cultural exchange and plenty of hard work. Students showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout and were proud to play their part in supporting the local community. 💙

📣 SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER! ☀️🍾🎉
What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another successful term – with our Summer Fair Bonanza! 🎪🎈
We are delighted to share that we raised an incredible £890 this afternoon, which will go towards rewarding our students next term. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, donated and helped make the event such a success. Year 10 boys - special mention to you for running 3 stalls and year10 and 9 girls who did a fantastic hair and face painting stall!
A special thank you goes to the amazing staff at William Brookes School for their tireless effort, dedication and commitment throughout the year. Your hard work makes so many opportunities possible for our students. 💙
We would also like to thank everyone (most of all our students) who supported the fair and helped create such a wonderful end to the academic year.
🌟 Wishing all of our WBS families a magical summer holiday. Enjoy a well-earned break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September! 🌟

This photo perfectly captures the fun, enthusiasm and support that our amazing Upper School Reading Mentors have provided to KS3 students throughout this year. They have been a fantastic group of role models, giving their time to help younger students develop a love of reading and build their confidence.
Ms Weatherill said, "They have been truly dedicated and supportive throughout the year, making a real difference to our KS3 students."
Thank you for all your hard work and commitment – you should be very proud of the impact you have made! 📚⭐
