Coleham Primary

Why choose Coleham Primary?

Coleham Primary School joined The 3-18 Education Trust in July 2017. We are a vibrant two-form entry primary school with 420 pupils on roll and place huge importance on kindness, respect and working well.

We are situated in the heart of Shrewsbury town centre and enjoy a spacious school site with a beautifully renovated Coach House for art activities and music lessons. We also have two conservation areas, which are used for outdoor learning across the school. We take advantage of our unique position to explore the historic town centre of Shrewsbury, the River Severn and Quarry Park, and our children regularly work with our friends and neighbours within the local community of Coleham.

We aim to encourage our children to develop independence and resilience during their time with us and we run a number of active and successful school councils, including an Eco and Sports Council, to ensure that the children have a voice and are involved in the running of our school. In developing our school community, all of our children & staff belong to a house, and enjoy taking part in various house competitions throughout the year.

Our ultimate goal is to provide our children with a rich, rewarding and memorable experience as a foundation for their futures. We have a broad, exciting and creative curriculum on offer, where every subject is celebrated. Specialist teachers are in place for music, languages and PE to ensure the highest quality. We are passionate about developing the whole child, and we work hard to provide real-life, hands-on learning experiences for our children, inspiring them to be the best people they can be with ambitions to match.
