About Clive CE Primary School and Nursery

Clive CE Primary School and Nursery joined The 3-18 Education Trust in September 2026.

Situated proudly on a hill, Clive CE Primary School is a truly special place where children are inspired to Aim High. As a small Church of England primary school, we combine a nurturing Christian ethos with a strong commitment to high standards ensuring every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

For 150 years, Clive CE Primary School has been at the heart of village life. Our school enjoys deep connections with the local community, drawing strength from the people, history and traditions that make Clive such a unique place.

The heritage of our school can be seen in the beautiful Grinshill stone used in the construction of the building, the same stone famously used in 10 Downing Street. Our rich local history is also reflected in the trophies awarded each year, many of which are named after past and present members of the community.

We are proud of the strong partnerships we have established with:

• All Saints Church
• Clive Village Hall
• Renshaw’s Field
• RAF Shawbury
• Our community garden

These relationships enrich school life and provide valuable opportunities for our children to learn, contribute and thrive.

At the centre of everything we do are our core values of:

• Respect
• Responsibility
• Resilience

Our children demonstrate these values every day, whether they are supporting their peers, taking part in leadership opportunities, serving on school committees or leading clubs and activities. We are immensely proud of the way our children embrace challenges and make a positive contribution to our school community.

Our unique setting encourages children to explore the awe and wonder of the world around them. Through engaging learning experiences, outdoor learning opportunities and a broad curriculum, we help every child develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

We recognise that the world our children will enter in the future is constantly changing. While we cannot predict where they will be in ten, twenty or even thirty years’ time, we are committed to equipping them with the knowledge, skills and character they need to flourish in whatever path they choose.

The success of Clive CE Primary School is built on a strong partnership between children, families, staff, governors, the Diocese and the wider community. Our families play a vital role in school life, and we are especially grateful for the dedication and enthusiasm of the Friends of Clive School, whose support creates countless opportunities and memorable experiences for our children.
