Abigail Salter, EYFS Teaching Assistant at Coleham Primary School, says studying is building her knowledge of SEND and education.

Name: Abigail Salter
School: Coleham Primary School
Current role: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Training course: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND)
“As I am still quite new to working in education, this course has helped me to learn new skills and provided me with the tools I need to better support the children and my colleagues in the classroom. I have gained a deeper understanding of SEND and how to tailor support to the individual.
I have enjoyed the variety of resources provided by the course, including their masterclasses, videos, podcasts and reading materials. I feel that these have developed my knowledge of both SEND and working in education, and have helped me to improve my performance in my role.
I already feel better equipped to face situations in the classroom or on the playground, allowing me to figure out solutions that provide better outcomes for the children.
This qualification has helped me to build my confidence, supporting both my personal and professional development, while creating a strong career foundation.”
