Ruth Shaw, Headteacher at William Brookes School, reflects on how Trust support has protected resources for future generations of students.
"The support of The 3-18 Education Trust has been transformational for William Brookes School and the wider Much Wenlock community.
“Through its investment in our new athletics track, our Trust has secured the future of a key part of Wenlock’s Olympian heritage, ensuring that our students can continue to be inspired by the birthplace of the modern Olympic movement.
“Our Trust has also been instrumental in championing the future of our leisure centre, helping to preserve an amazing resource for both our school and the wider community.”

About William Brookes School
William Brookes School joined The 3-18 Education Trust in April 2021.
The school’s backdrop is the breathtakingly beautiful Shropshire countryside, and whilst a proportion of our students live in the market town of Much Wenlock, we also serve a uniquely wide catchment area from rural hamlets to the large town of Telford.
We are honoured to be the only Coubertin school in Great Britain and we embrace the rich history of Olympian traditions. Our school values are focused around the Olympic values of respect, excellence and friendship. These are values that our children experience from one another and from staff – these values run through the veins of the school.
