In the press: “We visit the north Shropshire village school that pupils describe as their ‘second family’ ” – Shropshire Star visits Whixall CE Primary School

“Nestled within the beautiful north Shropshire countryside is Whixall CofE Primary School that pupils describe as being ‘like a second family’ ” say the Shropshire Star.

From the Shropshire Star article:

“It’s very much like an extended family,” said Executive Headteacher, Nicola Brayford. “Lots of children are relatives of generational families who have come to Whixall.

“The setting of the school is a wonderful place to spend your childhood. It is definitely a school at the heart of the community.

“Given where Whixall is geographically, it is not on a main road, so people do make a conscious choice to send their children there. It is really very special.”

Whixall CE Primary School joined The 3-18 Education Trust in September 2026, along with Clive and Prees Primary Schools.
