Rachel Howell-James, Headteacher at John Wilkinson Primary School and Nursery, explains the benefits of being part of our Trust for a small, semi-rural school.
"Being part of our Trust has enabled improvements John Wilkinson could not achieve alone.
“Physical development of our EYFS space, alongside collaboration and specialist support, has created an inspiring environment, and strengthened our nursery and Reception curriculum.
“Building improvements, planned further investment and thousands of pounds committed to resources are enhancing children’s experiences.
“Trust CPD programmes and collaboration give staff opportunities to grow, develop expertise and progress.
“Funded transport opens up sporting events that might otherwise be inaccessible to our small, semi-rural school, putting equity into practice and supporting our ambition of forging futures without limits.”

About John Wilkinson Primary School and Nursery

John Wilkinson Primary School and Nursery joined The 3-18 Education Trust in February 2025.
Our vision is to ‘create a culture of curiosity where children, who feel healthy, happy and safe, thrive.’ We are a small semi-rural provision offering a nurturing environment in which all children can excel. We value children as individuals and help them to understand their role as members of the John Wilkinson family and of the wider community.
We are situated in beautiful surroundings in the heart of the Broseley community and we are lucky to have extensive school grounds for children to enjoy. Our committed team of staff and governors collaborate closely with parents to offer an exciting and creative curriculum which enthuses children and inspires them to love learning.
