Bridgnorth Endowed School
There were smiles, celebrations and plenty of proud moments at Bridgnorth Endowed School today as Year 11 students collected their GCSE results and began looking ahead to what comes next.
Students secured high grades across a broad range of subjects, and the results are testament to the hard work and dedication shown throughout their time at the school.
Among this year’s top performers was Noah Bishell, who achieved an exceptional seven Grade 9s and two Grade 8s. Noah will continue his studies at King Edward’s College in Stourbridge, where he plans to take A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology.
The school also celebrated some remarkable achievements beyond the classroom.
Year 11 student and football star Archie Williams is looking forward to an exciting next step after being awarded a two-year scholarship with West Bromwich Albion Academy, a fantastic opportunity that reflects years of commitment to the sport.
Another student taking her sporting success to the next level is Isabelle Crann, who has been awarded a cricket scholarship at the prestigious Shrewsbury School, where she will continue to develop her talent alongside her studies.
Denzel Chamberlain is taking his musical abilities to Kidderminster College, while singer Darcey Hoult, a familiar face on the BES stage, is set to pursue her love of musical theatre through the new Drama and Theatre Studies A Level at King Edward’s.
A number of students have also secured apprenticeships, combining further study with valuable workplace experience. Maisie Clark has her sights set on a career in childcare after completing an apprenticeship with local nursery, Dad’s the Word. Meanwhile, Reubin Plain and Ronnie Yates are both preparing to train as barbers and begin developing their skills within the industry.
Students from the Class of 2026 will now move on to a wide range of destinations, studying A Levels and vocational qualifications, as they work towards ambitions spanning sport, agriculture, engineering, public services and the creative industries.
Headteacher Michael Penn said:
“We have watched these young people grow enormously over the past five years, and we are proud not only of what they have achieved academically, but of the character, determination and resilience they have shown along the way.
“What makes this year group particularly special is the variety of directions they are now taking. Whether they are off to sixth form or college, starting an apprenticeship, pursuing a sporting opportunity or training for their chosen career, every student has something to be proud of.
“I would like to thank our staff and families for the support and encouragement they have given throughout the journey, and we wish all of our Year 11s every success and happiness as they take their next steps.”

They have developed qualities that will serve them well as they move on to the next stage of their education, training and employment.”
The school is delighted that students will now be progressing to a wide range of destinations, including sixth form, college, apprenticeships and vocational pathways.
