🏑 Two Teams, One Brilliant Day of Hockey 🏑
Last Thursday was a great day for our hockey teams at the County Rising Stars competition, with plenty to celebrate.
🏆 U16 Boys – County Rising Stars Champions
Huge congratulations to our U16s, who won the County Rising Stars Hockey competition at Telford and Wrekin Hockey Club. The team remained undefeated throughout, producing some outstanding hockey along the way. A fantastic achievement!
👏 U14 Boys – A Promising Start
A young U14 BES team also put in a really credible performance. With several players making their secondary-level debuts, it was a valuable opportunity to gain match experience, develop their skills and build confidence. We look forward to seeing them progress in future fixtures!
A huge thank you to Miss Griffin, who runs our weekly Hockey Club, giving students the opportunity to develop their skills, meet new people and form friendships through our enrichment programme. 💙
Well done to everyone involved. We’re looking forward to more hockey action. 🏑

It was all about trying something new, working together and getting to know each other better.
They’ve had a brilliant first term so far, and this trip helped everyone bond, build friendships and make some great memories along the way. Roll on next term... 💙

📚 This week, our Year 7 students visited the library for their induction, exploring the resources available to support their learning and taking part in practical activities.
Thanks to the Rotary Club Books4Home initiative, every student was able to choose a book to keep and enjoy at home.
There was also a special moment for Sienna, who was delighted to discover a copy of The Honey Bee, written by her brother, on the library shelves.
Thank you to the Rotary Club for helping to inspire a love of reading in our young people. 📖
