What belonging means to our students

To mark the launch of The 3-18 Education Trust’s Belonging Framework, we invited students from across our schools to share what belonging means to them. In collaboration with our schools, we organised a Trust-wide creative competition, encouraging students to express their views on belonging through a variety of mediums.

The Belonging Framework, introduced at the end of the summer term, is designed to guide and support staff, parents/carers, external agencies, and students to understand their collective roles and responsibilities in supporting a successful educational journey. The framework provides practical guidance and resources to help everyone work together, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported.

Our students responded with remarkable creativity, from posters, poems and recipes to artwork, musical compositions and dance pieces. The judging panel was truly impressed by the diversity and quality of the entries, which reflected the unique perspectives and talents of students of all ages.

Our winners were presented with a certificate, gift voucher and house points (or equivalent) in their schools. Congratulations to all our winners!

We are delighted to share a selection of the winning entries and presentation photos below. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this celebration of belonging such a success.
