Welcome to St Martins School virtual open event

Welcome from Mrs Alison Pope, Headteacher
“St Martins School is a very special place and it is my privilege and pleasure to be leading the school at this exciting stage in the school’s history.
As a 3-16 through school at the heart of the community of St Martins, we can deliver child centred, individually tailored education because of our small size and unique position in the community.
The family ethos of the school surrounds all who study and work here creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. We value academic progress and social development equally. Our children are individuals, respected for their differences and celebrated for their strengths. Within this caring family environment, our children feel confident to push themselves to achieve the best they can enjoying an exciting and sometimes daring curriculum which challenges and stretches them.
It is an honour to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming community. With over 20 years of experience in education, including five years as Headteacher at The Priory School in Shrewsbury, I bring a deep passion for fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
As a local resident with my own children attending a nearby primary school, I am committed to ensuring that St Martins continues to provide high-quality, comprehensive education to local families.
I hope you find this virtual open event useful as you consider finding the right reception or Year 7 place for your child. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our incredible school.”
