We are delighted to officially welcome our tenth school to The 3-18 Education Trust.

A vibrant, community-focused primary school, John Wilkinson is at the very heart of Broseley, with over 180 pupils aged between 2 – 11 years old. The school prides itself on its ‘family feel’ and fostering open and approachable communication with parents and carers.

The school site is dedicated to fulfilling the school’s vision to ‘create a culture of curiosity.’ Highlights include a dedicated outdoor learning area, newly enhanced library, allotment and greenhouses, and even a kiln for budding artists.

Enrichment is an important part of life at the school, with pupils actively encouraged to participate in sports, dance, singing and cultural trips. This year will see the school’s very first overnight camping trip for Year 4 pupils.

The 3-18 Education Trust’s mission is to ‘celebrate the diverse nature, culture and identity of our individual schools, whilst collaborating and enjoying the benefit of the team.’ Staff from both John Wilkinson and the Trust have been working closely together in recent months as part of the transition process.

Stephanie Beard, Headteacher at John Wilkinson Primary School and Nursery, said: “We are looking forward to becoming part of The 3-18 Education Trust and staff have already benefitted greatly from positive networking and the professional development opportunities on offer. We are very proud of our school and are very keen to protect our ethos and values, which The 3-18 Education Trust supports.”

David O’Toole, CEO at The 3-18 Education Trust, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome John Wilkinson Primary School and Nursery into our Trust. Their commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment aligns perfectly with our mission. We look forward to supporting the school in its endeavours and fostering a strong partnership that will benefit the entire school community.”

The Trust is committed to local-level governance and the governing body will continue to oversee the school.  The Trustees would like to thank the existing governors who are continuing in roles.  If you would like to join them in this exciting new journey, please contact the Chair or the Trust’s Governance Professional.
