At the end of lunch service, Louise was surprised by her colleagues with a special presentation recognising her outstanding contribution to the school’s catering team. She was presented with a framed certificate, a bouquet of flowers and £1,000 in vouchers, with staff also enjoying a non‑alcoholic drink and chocolates to mark the occasion.

The award was presented by Mark Argent, Regional Operations Director, and Kevin Green, Operations Director, from Academy catering specialists, who were delighted to recognise Louise’s commitment and professionalism.

Mark said: “I have experienced a great working ethos from Louise. A ‘can do’ attitude and continued commitment have been very evident under very challenging circumstances, and she continues to strive for excellence daily.”

Louise has played a key role in supporting the school’s former Catering Manager with the day‑to‑day catering provision. Throughout her time in the role, she has consistently demonstrated a positive and proactive approach. Cheerful, approachable and always willing to help, Louise is highly valued by both colleagues and students.

In March 2025, Louise was nominated by colleagues and awarded Team Member of the Month. This recognition led to her being put forward for the Academy Team Star of the Year award, which celebrates the reliability, dedication and professionalism demonstrated by team members each day.

The celebration was attended by Mark Cooper, Headteacher, and Joanne Jones, School Business Manager, both of whom nominated Louise for Team Member of the Month in March 2025.

Mark said: “Louise is an excellent member of staff. She is always upbeat and nothing is too much trouble. Louise gets on well with students — always smiling and approachable.”

This award is a fitting recognition of Louise’s contribution to the school community. Congratulations to Louise on this fantastic achievement!
