As the academic year draws to a close, we are proud to showcase some of the outstanding GCSE results from across our schools. Congratulations to all Year 11 students on the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication! We also take time today to recognise the invaluable contributions of our staff, and the unwavering support provided by the parents, carers, and families of our young people.
Bridgnorth Endowed School

Bridgnorth Endowed School is celebrating another year of academic excellence and personal triumphs as students collected an impressive set of GCSE results earlier today.
High grades were achieved across a wide range of subjects, with English and Maths pass rates climbing even higher than last year – a reflection of the school’s continued commitment to raising aspirations and achievement.
The Class of 2025 is now moving on to an exciting variety of next steps, securing places at leading destinations such as Shrewsbury Colleges Group, King Edward’s in Stourbridge and Telford College.
Among this year’s standout students was Mia Wain, who achieved an incredible five Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. She is heading to Shrewsbury College to study A Levels in English Language, Criminology and Politics.
Special congratulations also go to Matthew Brown, who scored top marks with four Grade 9s, one Grade 8 and three Grade 7s. He will go on to study A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at King Edward’s College.
Twin sisters Daisy and Poppy Green are celebrating double exam success after both achieving fantastic results and securing places to study A Levels at King Edward’s.
Joining them at the prestigious college in Stourbridge is Isobel Onions, whose strong grades will help her pursue her ambition of a career in medicine, and classmate George King, who is celebrating great results and looking forward to studying A Level Maths, Chemistry and History.
Other inspiring stories include Patrick Lewis, who is preparing to join the Army with a pathway into Law, and Charlotte Cotterill, who has secured a highly sought-after place at Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) to study Music.
Creative flair also shone through in Gabriel Quick, who earned a Grade 9 in Art alongside his other successes. He will go on to study a Level 3 BTEC in Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design at Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham with the aim of building a career in the fashion industry.
Apprenticeships continue to be popular and this year’s cohort has secured some great opportunities. Nicky Jack is preparing to begin a heavy vehicle apprenticeship at DAF Trucks, while Neve Crann will take up a specialist cricket apprenticeship.
Meanwhile, a number of students are opting for T Levels, such as Luke Clayworth, who will study Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Henry Walker, who will take the Surveying, Planning and Design course – both at Shrewsbury College.
Headteacher Mr Michael Penn commented: “We are delighted with this year’s results and could not be prouder of our students. Their hard work, determination and resilience have been outstanding, and I am confident they leave us ready to thrive in the future.”

The Priory School

We are delighted to share in the celebrations of our students at The Priory School this year, with an attainment 8 figure of 52.13 (average 5.2) and 29.3% of all grades at 7+.
It was wonderful to see so many students collect their results and we wish them all the very best as they move on to the next stages in their education and employment. Notable results where students achieved an average grade of 8+ came from Matthew Burton, Daisy Keeney, Anna Soltykowska, Frederico Ribeiro, Belle Raaff, Seren Bishton, Ethan Blakeway, Niamh Humphrey-Clowes, Dan McCloud and Thomas Emonson.

- Students achieving 5 standard passes including English and Maths – 72%
- Students achieving 5 strong passes including English and Maths – 51.8%
- Students achieving 4+ in both Maths and English – 77.4%
- Students achieving 5+ in both Maths and English – 54.8%
- Students achieving 7+ in both Maths and English – 16.1%
- Students achieving 4+ in Science – 79.77%
- Students achieving 5+ in Science – 61.1%
- Students achieving a standard pass in the Ebacc – 35.7%
- Students achieving a strong pass in the EBacc – 27.4%
Thomas Adams School

Thomas Adams School in Wem is celebrating another successful year of GCSE results, with Headteacher Mark Cooper commending the dedication and resilience of students and staff.
“Everyone has worked incredibly hard again this year, and the achievements of our young people are a credit to their dedication and determination,” said Mr Cooper. “A significant number of students have exceeded their targets, and we are especially proud of those who have overcome personal challenges to achieve their best.”
This year’s results reflect a strong upward trend in student achievement, with notable improvements across nearly all subject areas. Many subjects have seen some impressive gains across all subjects which is excellent, contributing to the school’s continued academic success.
Among the standout individual performances:
- Isla: 1 Grade 9, 5 Grade 8s, 3 Grade 7s
- James: 6 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s

Mr Cooper added, “I would like to thank all students, staff and parents for their outstanding teamwork and resilience during the last two years. Many of our students will now continue their journey at The Thomas Adams Sixth Form, joining peers from across North Shropshire and beyond. We look forward to celebrating further success with them in the years ahead.”
William Brookes School

William Brookes School is proud to announce a stronger set of GCSE results for summer 2025, marking a year of academic progress and student resilience.
Headline figures show a rise in both Attainment 8 and core subject outcomes, with more students achieving qualifications than in previous years. Notably, performance in subjects such as Art, French, Dance, and iMedia has soared, with French achieving exceptional results.
The school is particularly pleased with the progress made by disadvantaged and SEND students, whose average point scores have improved significantly.
Headteacher Ruth Shaw, who was appointed to lead the school at the start of the year, commented: “These results reflect the dedication of our staff, the hard work of our students, and the strength of our inclusive school community: Respect, Excellence and Friendship.”
St Martins 3-16 School
The Headteacher of St Martins School, Sue Lovecy, has praised this year’s GCSE students for their dedication and determination as results were released today.
“This year’s GCSE outcomes reflect the tremendous effort our students have put in,” said Sue. “Every single one of them has worked hard, shown resilience, and done their best – and for that, they should be very proud. We must not forget the difficult start they had during the pandemic.”
The school celebrated both high achievers and those who surpassed their own expectations through persistence, commitment, and a positive attitude to learning.
Sue commented: “There were many fantastic personal performances, but I must mention Jacob, who achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s, and a 7; Alexandra, who smashed it with seven grade 9s and three grade 8s; and Annabelle, with two grade 9s, five grade 8s, a 7, and a 6. Also, a massive congratulations to our Year 10 students who sat their MFL subjects early. No grade 9s this year, but plenty of 8s and 7s.”
“We also celebrate the people you have become – confident, happy, and ready for whatever life throws at you. We are all very proud.”
St Martins School will continue to support all students in their next steps, whether moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or the world of work.
