I have worked in a school office for 19 years, firstly as an Admin Assistant in a senior school for ten years at the Wakeman School in Shrewsbury. When this school closed, I was redeployed to Much Wenlock Primary School where I have been for the past nine years, and I have been the School Business Manager for the past five years.
As Much Wenlock Primary is a small school, I have gained experience in all admin roles, such as finance, HR and working on new systems in school such as Every and Arbor. I have overseen the successful transition to the 318 Education Trust.
I have a background in sales and marketing, and have brought elements of these skills in to my current role. In previous employment I have organized large events, I have worked promoting brands and selling for various companies including Rank Hotels, and Beacon Radio.
I am passionate about inclusiveness. Having a child with a severe learning disability has given me empathy in my role and has helped greatly with understanding different family situations.
