As Subject Lead for English and Drama at Thomas Adams, I have led our team of excellent teachers to generate consistently good results for our students in English, despite the many challenges that these last few years have thrown at us. I am passionate about ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed in English, not only to advance them to their next step in education, but also to foster the key skills necessary for success in their adult lives, coupled with an enjoyment of reading and literature, opening whole new worlds, experiences and viewpoints to our young people. I have 16 years’ experience of teaching and exam marking, including A level. I look forward to sharing good practice and ideas to support other English Departments across the Trust, to ensure our students fulfil their potential.
