Emily has over 25 years of teaching experience across Shropshire, Dudley, and Worcestershire authorities, with a strong track record of delivering excellent outcomes across all key stages. As Head of English and Languages at Bridgnorth Endowed School, Emily plays a leading role in curriculum design, quality assurance, and staff development. Emily brings proven expertise in curriculum sequencing, driving reading strategy, and promoting high-quality teaching and learning.
As a passionate advocate for reading and literacy, Emily has led a number of whole school reading initiatives to build a culture of reading for pleasure and academic success. Emily is experienced at delivering CPD on reading fluency and vocabulary instruction across subject areas. As a Senior Examiner for AQA GCSE English Language for over 10 years, Emily has extensive experience in leading moderation and standardisation. #
