Energy saving solar panels have been installed at four schools across the Trust this year as part of the School Condition Allocation (SCA) investment.
The schools benefitting from the installation are:
- Much Wenlock Primary School – a vibrant primary school at the heart of Much Wenlock town
- The Priory School – a leading secondary school in Shrewsbury
- Thomas Adams School – a co-educational community school, sixth form and boarding house in the centre of Wem
- William Brookes School – a bustling secondary school on the edge of the Shropshire countryside
The solar panels will help to reduce energy usage as part of an initiative to reduce total energy usage across the Trust by 11% per annum, which in turn will save £100k.
This initiative has been led by Duncan Wright, Chief Financial Officer, and our School Business Managers from the four schools.
