Proud parents, alumni and staff joined together with distinguished guests to celebrate the outstanding achievements of over 100 students from Bridgnorth Endowed School last week.
An impressive array of awards were given out at the ceremony including prizes for ‘outstanding attainment’ and ‘exceptional effort’ for two students in each year group. Achievements in sport, the arts, community service and contributions aligned to the school’s core values were also celebrated.
The prestigious Headteacher’s Awards went to former students, Dewi Arch and Amelie Maynard, who have both left an inspiring legacy for current pupils of the school.
Guest speaker Harry Lowbridge, a former student and now a star of ITV’s Coronation Street, captivated the audience with reflections on his time at the school and insights into his acting career.
The celebration also featured some incredible vocal performances from five talented students and included a preview of the school’s upcoming production of Matilda which is set to open in April 2025.
Headteacher Michael Penn, praising the pupils’ hard work and dedication, commented: “We are extremely proud to celebrate each and every one of our students and their remarkable successes. It was a wonderful evening, filled with outstanding awards and incredible performances. Bridgnorth Endowed is a very special school, and this event showcases its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals and recognising their strengths.”
The event was also attended by Bridgnorth Mayor, Councillor Ian Wellings, and Claire Jones, Deputy CEO of The 3-18 Education Trust.
