Abigail Salter, EYFS Teaching Assistant at Coleham Primary School, says studying is building her knowledge of SEND and education.
Name: Abigail Salter
School: Coleham Primary School
Current role: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Training course: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND)
“As I am still new to working in education, I hope to learn more skills and techniques to help me better support the children and staff around me. I also hope to gain a better understanding of how to support SEND children when they are dysregulated.
I have really enjoyed the variety of resources provided by the course, including the masterclasses, and the recommended videos, podcasts and reading materials. I feel that these have helped me to build my knowledge of both SEND and working in education and have helped me to improve my performance in my role.
I already feel better equipped to face situations in the classroom or on the playground, allowing me to figure out solutions that provide better outcomes for the children.
This qualification will help me build my confidence, which will help me to work better in the classroom and will create a strong foundation for me to build my future career upon.”
